An 11-year-old boy in East Point, Ga., unintentionally ended his short life Saturday morning while imitating a prank “hang-myself” video that was posted on YouTube, according to the child’s mother.
WSB-TV reported that Cantenecia Stokes told Channel 2 she found her son dangling from a rope inside a closet in his bedroom. “I lost my baby because of something he didn’t know really completely about,” she said. Her three younger children had watched in horror as the boy attached the rope to his neck and died.
The mother was in the kitchen, cooking breakfast for the family. When she heard the kids yelling, she raced into the bedroom and discovered that her oldest son was not breathing. She freed him from the rope and called for an ambulance. Read the full article here ▶
