The wasps colonised Ms Shield’s window.
Lismore locals came to Ms Shield’s aid, offering a range of unconventional advice on how to deal with the situation.
“Deodorant and lighter usually does the trick,” wrote one poster.
“Wait till dark, get a sheet of news paper, roll it up nice and long and burn them,” wrote another.
But Ms Shields said the wasp colony was to high up for her to burn them.
“They‘re on a second-floor window that I can’t reach,” she said.
Ms Shields said the wasp colony was to0 high up for her to burn it.
One Lismore Information Exchange member was quick to call Ms Shields out following this revelation, telling her to leave the wasps alone.
“If they are on a second-floor window & not worrying anyone hanging around on the window ledge — why would you kill them??” the poster said.
