Woman Pays For WWII Vet’s Groceries And Says ‘Thank You For Being A Veteran’

Don’t you just love those stories about random acts of kindness? Those kinds of stories make my heart so happy!

Here is a beautiful story to lighten your day! Fred Mayhew, 89, served this country as an infantryman in the U.S. Army.

He was wearing his veteran’s hat one day while standing in line at the grocery store in Hampden, Maine.

Mayhew took some money out of his wallet as the line moved forward.

A girl behind him in line told him he could put that money back into his wallet and that she was going to buy his groceries for him!

She paid for his groceries and thanked him for being a veteran!

Mayhew had never seen the woman before and was blown away by her kindness!
