If you live in or around any wooded area, like in Illinois, chances are that you have had your fair share of run-ins with deer. That is exactly what one woman discovered in her living room, after leaving her back door open while battening down the hatches for an oncoming storm.
Amsoclie left her living room and when she came back inside, she found the three unexpected visitors seeking shelter from the brewing storm. The baby deers already decided to get comfy and found a perfect space in Amsoclie’s living room to stay dry and away from the storm. Amsoclie, amused, took a photo of the babies and posted it on Imgur.
Life on Earth is made up of a complex network of relationships between different species, which come in many forms. Symbiosis is the most deeply intertwined of these relationships, and we live in symbioses of various intensities with numerous domesticated animals and plants.
To different extents, these cultural symbioses are mutualistic, meaning that both parties benefit from them. We share the same world, so we need to correct the relationship with all these creatures.
The interaction between all cohabitants on the planet should be filled with love, care, respect, and kindness. The story of an Imgur user, Amscolie, an animal enthusiast and amateur wildlife rehabilitator, is a great example of this.
Her home is located near the woods, and if you live in or around any wooded area, you already know that in such a place, one has a fair share of run-ins with deer.
Yet, she didn’t find them, and just hoped they found a safe spot to survive the storm. When she went back into the house, she was shocked to see them resting quietly in her living room beside her couch.
AccuWeather explained these animals have been known to have superior weather-detecting capabilities. Far better than humans. They can sense changes in the air pressure and/or pick up sound frequencies that humans can’t hear.
In one of her posts, she wrote:
“I raise orphaned wildlife. Recently, the back door was open as a storm was coming. The deer were nowhere to be found. Went inside, was heading to the front door, only to see them next to an end table in the living room. Told them they could sleep in the house for the night because it was going to be nasty.”
She added: “But how could you ever say no to a face like this?”
Everyone saw her point and agreed.
Fortunately, these three little heroes rode out the storm.
