Why doesn’t the first footprint on the moon fit Neil Armstrong’s space boot?

One of the arguments used by those who claim that NASA missions to the moon are a fraud is that the astronauts’ boots are smooth, while the footprints have a line pattern, as seen in the photo below.

What they forget to mention is that smooth-soled boots are designed to have an external cover, as seen in the following photo. It is these covers that left the traces.
