This cancer-stricken 7-year-old girl writes a heartbreaking letter to her father asking to stop her treatments. The reason behind her letter …

This 7-year-old girl from Heilongjiang province, China has been suffering from leukaemia since 2016 and she has been fighting bravely for her life ever since. However, one day, the girl decided to give up on her life and wrote a heartbreaking letter explaining the reason behind her wish.

Zhang Jiaye was diagnosed with leukaemia in May 2016 and has been receiving treatments for her cancer

However, the expensive hospital bills have put her family in a huge debt. The treatments of her illness has cost the family 590,000 yuan (USD 93,249) and it has been pressuring both of her parents who do not earn much.

The little girl’s mother who could no longer put up with the emotional and financial pressure then ran away from home in July 2017 and has not reached out to them since then.

The girl has been doing very well to survive each day but decided to not continue the treatments anymore when she saw her father cried one day which has caused her to write a heartfelt letter to him

“Dad, I saw you cry today. I’m so sad. I know you’ve spent a lot of money to treat me. You’ve run out of money. Mum also left. This is all because of me. If I am gone, Mum will come back and you will be happy as before. I don’t want be treated any more. Let’s go home, shall we?”

Somehow, her handwritten letter made its way to the internet and it quickly went viral on social media where many expressed their sympathy and wished to help the family. Thanks to her letter, 600,000 yuan (USD 93,666) has been collected in donations.

The girl’s father, Zhang Mingliang said that he would never let her daughter to give up on fighting her terminal illness and that he would always be by her side.
