A woman from Egypt allegedly hacked her five-year-old son to death with a machete and cooked and ate part of his head.
The woman, named only as Hanaa, 29, confessed to police that she had eaten part of her son’s head because she ‘wanted him to stay with her together’, local media reports.
The Egyptian Public Prosecution has ruled she has no mental disorders.
The suspect, 29-year-old Hanaa Mohamed Hassan, has been presented to the criminal court, where she will stand trial for the premeditated murder of her son, Youssef. Read the full story here ▶
