She’s Running For GOVERNOR – Voters In Shock

Letitia James, New York’s attorney general has entered the gubernatorial race, challenging Kathy Hochul.

In the wake of the Andrew Cuomo sexual harassment scandal, Letitia James sees an opportunity, and she’s taking it.

James, the first woman elected as New York’s attorney general and the first Black person to serve in the role, has wide influence in the city and will be the biggest threat to opponent Kathy Hochul, Cuomo’s former lieutenant governor.

“James will enter the race as a formidable candidate for the Democratic nomination just months after issuing a damning report that drove Andrew Cuomo from office in a sexual harassment scandal,” according to the Associated Press.

“I’m running for governor of New York because I have the experience, vision, and courage to take on the powerful on behalf of all New Yorkers,” James said.
