She was called MONSTER until a Model changed her life!

She’s just the smileiest happiest child what it’s like to have a child with a rare facial condition? Tessa Evans was born with arynia, meaning she has no nose, no sense of smell and no sinuses, but she can cough, sneeze and catch a cold. She’s the first person to have a special cosmetic nasal implant fitted over the years. It will encourage a new nose to grow out of stretched skin. She’ll have a final nasal prosthetic fitted when she’s a teenager.

Her mother tells us her story. Tessa, my four year old daughter, was born without a nose due to a genetic condition. An ultrasound performed while I was 20 weeks pregnant with her revealed that she had an abnormally slack fetal profile. I remember those words so well because I was concerned about what they could possibly mean.
