Police Finally Discover What Happened To 4-Year-Old Girl Who Vanished Out Of Her Bed

A Florida family is pleading for anyone with information about their lost child to come forward.

Rebecca Lewis was last seen by her family sleeping in bed on Oct. 8 at around 9 a.m., WFTS reported. Just before 10 a.m., the 4-year-old girl went missing.

The family searched the area for an hour before calling the police.

We responded, and we’ve been out here ever since,Scott Wilder, of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, told WFTS.

Authorities questioned neighbors, searched homes and checked in with local registered sex offenders. An Amber Alert was also issued.

“If there’s anyone out there, anywhere, that can help us bring Becky back home, please bring her home to us,” Oma Mae Lewis, Rebecca’s grandmother, told the news station. “She’s a beautiful little blonde-headed baby that just loves anybody and anything.”

According to investigators, West Wild Hogs, 31, a former family friend, visited the family on Oct. 7. The family hadn’t seen him in more than two years.

Hogs, who legally changed his name from Matt Pybus, was spotted with Rebecca at a gas station nearly 400 miles away in Forsyth, Georgia, at around 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 8. Deputies are now worried that Hogs could be heading for his home state of Alabama with Rebecca.

We don’t know if he has intentional harm planned for this little girl, but he didn’t have permission to pick her up,” Wilder said. “He doesn’t have permission to keep her.”

Hogs was seen driving a grey 2012 Nissan Versa with an Alabama handicapped plate 4JL26, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. His mother reported the car stolen.

In surveillance footage from the gas station, Rebecca appeared to be in good health. She was last seen wearing a pink dress.

Hogs is described as 5-feet 8-inches with red hair and blue-green eyes, the Daily Mail reported. He has a scar on the left side of his face and has two tattoos: a Chinese symbol and a blue cross.

“If you’re out there, and you are with Becky, please just call me,” Lewis said. “Tell me where to come get her. Just bring my baby back home to us.”
