Rehoboth planning commission meeting canceled
The Rehoboth Beach Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Friday, April 9, has been canceled due to a lack of agenda items. Chair Jeff Trunzo announced the cancellation April 1.
Two Broadkill Beach permit applications submitted to DNREC
The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control has issued notices for two permit applications in Broadkill Beach.
The first application was submitted by Jeff Chorman to construct a single-family dwelling with a 10-foot cantilever deck on Lot 4, Block J of Broadkill Beach. The notice was issued March 28 because a permit is required to build seaward of the DNREC building line.
Comments concerning this application should be made in writing to the Division of Watershed Stewardship by Monday, April 12. Comments can be submitted to Jennifer.Pongratz@delaware.gov.
The second application was published March 31 and is for a subaqueous lands permit and wetland permit by John and Catherine Yost at 1501 South Bayshore Drive. The Yosts have requested permission to construct a 3-foot-wide by 75-foot-long wetland walkway in state-regulated wetlands, a 4-foot-wide by 10-foot-long pier and a 5-foot-wide by 20-foot-long dock in Deep Hole Creek.
