Police officials released a statement, saying that the mother, later identified as 23-year-old Kaitlyn, and her boyfriend, 24-year-old Jovanie, were taken into custody and later charged with multiple charges, including: first and second-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree manslaughter, after they reportedly beat Kaitlyn’s 3-year-old son, Kayden, to death.
Prosecutors said the mother and her boyfriend reportedly neglected and beat the child to death. On Tuesday, officers responded to a disturbance call. The 3-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries.
