Mom Finds Sick Use For Her Baby Girl’s Pajama Pants, Then Her Son Goes In

Her older child saw what happened, went in after his mother came out, and tried to get the pants off of the baby’s head, but they were knotted so tightly that his rescue efforts failed. Estrellia died from suffocation in the family’s Galveston home before Kayla bothered to call for help.

After a couple of hours and the older child trying to save his sister, the mother finally went to the neighbor’s house and asked them to call 911. EMS later testified that Estrellia had been dead for about 1 to 2 hours by the time they got there, and there was nothing they could do to save her. Despite having murdered her daughter, the jury’s decision makes a horrific situation even worse.

Estrellia was killed on September 15, 2014, and her mother was charged with her murder in December of the same year. However, that’s all a distant memory now that the case has gone to trial, and Kayla will be a free woman in a short amount of time, thanks to a jury’s final decision on Friday. After just a 30-minutes of deliberation, they found the mother guilty of a lesser charge.

Kayla will serve just 10 years behind bars after being convicted of felony child endangerment instead of murder. She’ll be eligible for parole in just five years, which is half of the max sentence she was given, Your Houston News reported.

It’s absolutely disgusting that this woman will not spend her life behind bars after she killed her baby. She knew what she was doing when she strangled her, then waited up to two hours before getting help, after her second child tried to save his sister on his own and couldn’t. Never once did Kayla go in there and untie the pajama pants from around her baby’s face. She simply let her die.
