It was a tough decision but a panel of judges has now whittled down a shortlist from the scores of nominations received for the first ever Lincolnshire Health Awards.
The awards seek to honour all those who go above and beyond to help us when we need it the most as well as those who are play a vital support role as part of a bigger team.
Organised by Lincolnshire Media, they are being held in association with Lincolnshire’s NHS and the main sponsor Magna Vitae Trust for Leisure and Culture.
We’ve been amazed by the number of entries and now a panel of judges have made their decision and come up with a shortlist for the prestigious awards night, to be held on November 14 at The Bentley Hotel, Lincoln.
One of the lucky nominees who has been shortlisted for the Volunteer of the Year Award, sponsored by St Hugh’s Hospital HMT, is Jodi Bradbury.
Speaking of her surprise, she said: “Wow. I’m shocked to be honest.
“Everyone that knows me, knows that I don’t want praise or recognition for what I do.
“I’m not one for being in the lime light, or even a picture, if I can help it. I love where I live and doing what I do.
“Winthorpe is a great place to live and full of amazing people.
“I don’t know who nominated me but thanks for thinking of me.”
Donna Phillips, is one of the lucky people nominated for Nurse of the Year category.
She said: “I have been nursing since I was 18-years-old.
“I am so passionate about my job and I always strive to do the best for my patients and staff.
“I am so lucky to work with such a great team on Scotter Ward who share my drive enthusiasm and commitment. And with a trust who fully support all my ideas and give me the freedom to implement them.
“It is absolutely fantastic to be nominated for doing a job that I love doing.”
