The music video for Stray Kids’ new single ‘Chk Chk Boom’ features Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds as their Marvel characters, Wolverine and Deadpool, who are co-anchoring a cable news network program.
Amidst the comedic skits, the K-pop boyband delivers their high-energy performance of the track on rooftops and city streets. The chorus rings out with, “Boom, vamos, I know that you want it / Boom, lobos, we cannot stop hunting / Boom, ratatata, I’mma make it / Boom, boom, chk chk boom.”
‘Chk Chk Boom’ is the lead single from Stray Kids’ mini-album ‘ATE,’ which was also released today (July 19). The band has announced their upcoming ‘dominATE’ world tour, set to run from 2024 to 2025, with stops in Asia, Europe, North America, and more.
This marks Stray Kids’ second release of 2024, following their English single ‘Lose My Breath’ with Charlie Puth. Group leader Bang Chan told NME that this track offers a chance for the group to showcase a different side of themselves.
Additionally, Stray Kids will contribute an original song titled ‘Slash’ to the soundtrack of the upcoming Marvel film, Deadpool & Wolverine, which will also feature tracks from *NSYNC, Fergie, the Goo Goo Dolls, and others.
