Her Phone And $300 Disappeared. She Went Back To This Cashier. His Reaction Has Now Gone Viral

If you’ve ever lost your wallet or a purse, it is a horrible experience. You feel so vulnerable knowing that someone else has access to all your personal information including your driver’s license, your health insurance card, credit cards – not to mention all the cash you had in there. So when Shelia Spencer noticed that her wristlet was missing, she started to panic, as most people would.

The wallet, which hung from her wrist from a small leather strap, held her personal information, nearly $300 cash, and her smartphone. As you can imagine, Shelia was mortified that someone had her stuff and was going to do who-knows-what with it.

She lost her wristlet while coming home from work. She dropped into the local Piggly Wiggly to grab a few things she needed. After loading her purchases into the car, she pushed the cart into the receiving bay. During that entire exchange, she could swear she had her wristlet with her and didn’t notice it missing until she was far, far away from the Piggly Wiggly.

By the time she realized it was missing, the clock had struck 9:30 pm. It was late and dark. She had lost her personal information and the $270, some of which did not belong to her. Before driving over there, she decided to call the store and check to see if it was gone or not. She didn’t have high hopes.

However, as soon as she made the call, she realized she had been wrong to judge the store associates. The wristlet wallet was at the lost and found. She jumped in her car and headed straight over. But what she found when she got the wallet, shocked her.

“What is even more astonishing is, I had all my money in the wristlet and my iPhone.”

Sheila was stunned. She asked the store manager who the person was who found it. The manager pointed to a teenage cashier.

Teenager employee Antoine Starr was the one who found the wallet. He regularly attends Central Park Christian and wanted to put his Christian learnings into practice. Sheila decided to show him that a good heart is rewarded.

“I went to bless Anthony today with $100, and I also called his mom Joyce to tell her what a great job she was doing with her son. His mom cried tears of joys. We hear very little about kids when they do something positive; it’s always lots of talk about the bad things that happen.”

Sheila shared the news, which prompted ABC 33/40 to interview Antoine. When he found the wallet, he didn’t think that bringing it to the lost and found was “a big deal.” He just acted normally.

“I just picked it up and returned it to one of my supervisors. I thought about how I would feel if it was my stuff and was stolen from me. I would be devastated. So I thought about her, and I returned it.”

What do you think about this teen proving that he has a heart of gold?
