David Lee Witherspoon is a renaissance man. He volunteers at the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry every week.
Recently, he was leaving and saw something that made him immediately pull over and get out.
Witherspoon was driving on a hot day when he saw a homeless man with no shoes crawling on his hands and knees across the street. Witherspoon knows that the heat can be a killer.
He grabbed a bottle of water and helped wash the man’s feet and cool him off. Then he gave the man his own shoes.
The whole thing was unwittingly recorded and the video of Witherspoon’s positive actions is spreading across the internet as an inspiration for other people to stand up and do what’s right to help their fellow man.
