According to the court documents, the 52-year-old father, John, and the 52-year-old mother, Catherine, were both sentenced to years in prison after they were found guilty of multiple charges, including: murder, endangering children and felonious assault.
Prosecutors said the father was sentenced to 29 years in prison and the mother was sentenced to 31 years in prison for killing their 8-year-old son Adam, who was adopted.
The medical examiner told investigators that the child’s death was a homicide and the cause of death was a blunt impact injury of the head.
