While boarding a flight to attend her brother’s wedding, Jessica Titus noticed a female Army soldier walking ahead of her in uniform. As a veteran herself, Jessica felt a sense of camaraderie with the soldier and made a mental note to thank her for her service.
But as the soldier passed the first-class section, a man stood up and blocked her way. “Sorry ma’am, I’m in your seat,” he said, gesturing to his own seat in first class.
