Cape Henlopen State Park reported shortly after 7 a.m. this morning on its Facebook page that it had sold out of 250 surf-fishing permits during a special voucher distribution. Other social media sites showed cars lined up at state parks, including Delaware Seashore State Park’s South Inlet, overnight April 13 to obtain the vouchers.
Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control announced in mid-March it would issue up to 1,000 additional surf-fishing permits, after reaching its cap of 17,000 surf-fishing permits for 2021 on March 3.
