We are living in a world that is upside down and I do not see it getting any better anytime soon. When there are people that would call good evil and evil good, you know that our moral compass as a whole is completely lost.
After the horrific events transpired in Afghanistan that we all know could have been averted with a careful plan, you would think that would wake people up, right?
Then when 13 of our servicemen died due to these actions one would think that would bring the nation together to call out this administration for their actions. However, instead of people holding their leaders accountable we have those that would make apologies and excuses for Biden and his team.
When those brave servicemen were brought home in caskets, with their family members watching, Biden attended but instead of standing in respect during the dignified transfer ceremony, Biden was caught checking his watch multiple times.
The Gold Star Family members called Biden out for his lack of respect and instead of the media siding with them and saying that it was the truth, they decided to do something reprehensible, and call them liars.
On Wednesday, USA Today published a misleading ‘fact check‘ on the event, written by Daniel Funke. The ‘fact checker’ says that he is an alum of Politifact and Poynter while asking people to send him tips on ‘hoaxes.’ Unfortunately, Funke is involved in spreading a few hoaxes himself.
The fact-checker finished off his ‘fact check’ commentary on Twitter by insinuating that the Gold Star families were lying.
However, Funke wound up being fact-checked on his own fact-check after a number of commentators put the publication on blast. At the very top of his story is a very embarrassing ‘correction.’
