Just like last offseason, the Golden State Warriors will be balling on a budget in 2021. Looking to add new talent into such an elite culture isn’t easy either, especially considering the team is expecting Klay Thompson to make a full return next season.

This past offseason, the Warriors added Kent Bazemore and now-Hornet Brad Wanamaker. They also traded for Kelly Oubre Jr. after finding out that they’d be without Thompson for the entirety of the season.

The Golden State Warriors may not have much money, but they’ll still potentially be able to bring back these four former Dubs this offseason.

The restricted cap space comes from the Warriors have not two or three but four max-value contracts on their roster. Draymond Green and Klay Thompson both received max deals a few years ago, and Stephen Curry is still playing under his supermax deal.

The team also added Andrew Wiggins prior to the 2020 trade deadline. Those four will take up most of the Warriors’ salary cap, most likely restricting their ability to offer Oubre Jr. anything of substance.

The team will want to add talent as Thompson’s return will mean truly competing for a title. That said, let’s dive into four former Dubs they may be able to lure back to the Bay Area in hopes of bringing yet another title to Golden State.
