After A Rough Fight, A Wife Looked At Her Mirror And Saw a NOTE From Her Husband

When someone struggles against depression it can feel like punching waves. Sometimes it feels like it’s getting better but then the tide comes back in. A never-ending fight.

For an Imgur user named ‘mollywho’ when she got married it felt like she starting to see the light at the tunnel. But then the depression come back and the couple hit a rough patch. In addition to a new marriage, work has been rough on her and her social circle has had a few rifts. Under that amount of stress, it isn’t that unusual for someone to lapse a bit back.

Molly admitted in the post that has since gone viral that she may have been taking her frustration out on her husband.

… amidst all the struggle, my husband has relentlessly tried to cheer me up. I’ve not been the easiest person to deal with, in fact, sometimes I’ve lost all hope and have even taken my anger out on my new husband

But Molly managed to get a real catch with her husband, because his response to this absolutely incredible.

After a trip out of town, Molly returned to her home in San Francisco and collapsed on her bed. After the exhausting trip and the guilt for how she treated her husband she was about to burst into tears when she looked up at her mirror and saw what her husband had done.

On the mirror was a message from her husband scribbled directly on the mirror so that it couldn’t be missed.

Molly who wrote on Imgur explaining the situation leading up to it.

“I’ve been juggling a LOT lately. Just got married. Couldn’t afford a wedding. Family is sparse. Falling out with friends, yaddadyadda. But, the thing is, amidst all the struggle, my husband has relentlessly tried to cheer me up. I’ve not been the easiest person to deal with.

In fact, sometimes I’ve lost all hope and even taken my anger out on my new husband. But he somehow forgives me every time. I have a long journey ahead of me, and I know he probably realizes I’m mentally ill. But he holds my hand, and he tries his best.

Today when I came home from a trip to SF, I flopped onto my bed in tears. I looked to my left, and saw these words painted all across my mirror. I think he wanted me to remember how much he loves me. Because he knows how quickly I forget. He knows I struggle to see good in the world, and especially the good in myself. But here it is. A testament and gesture of his love. Damn, I needed it today…”

Molly’s incredible husband realized the best way to cheer up his partner was to write on the mirror in sharpie all the ways he loved and appreciated her. When she got home it would be the first thing she would see and who wouldn’t absolutely love to see this?

The list is entitled “Reasons I love my wife” and contains 15 reasons that are funny, emotional, and most importantly, honest reasons why he loves her so much.

The list contains adorable reasons like “Small animals make her cry” to funny reasons like “She’s gone to a strip club with me” that just make you giggle a little.

Her expression sums up how anyone would feel about such a heartfelt gesture. Her husband went above and beyond for her and she couldn’t be more appreciative. What an incredible husband.

One of the best tools for helping manage depression is a solid support network that can help the depressed person when they need it most. Molly’s husband has proven not only to the millions who have seen this incredible post, but also to Molly herself that he is able to do it.

“Instead of stigmatizing the illness (or the person!) reach out,” Molly added. “Don’t ostracize them. I made this post to show the world that even the little gestures like a small list of “<3′s” on my bedroom mirror can offer a little reminder of the love and kindness there is in the world.”

This will be a moment that Molly will hopefully be able to return to whenever she’s feeling down.

Her husband has etched down a list of reasons why he loves his wife and that’s something she will always be able to fall back on no matter how rough life can be.

We’re so happy that Molly was able to find a partner that understands the pain and fear that depression can put one through. It’s so crucial to have a good partner that understands how to handle a depressed person to help them live their life to the fullest.
